II Timothy 2:9 Verbum Del non est alligatum

 3. Salvation Through Good Works

Catholic Position

¶837
Even though incorporated into the Church, one who does not however
persevere in charity is not saved.

Scripture Says

Ephesians 2:8-9

8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9  Not of works, lest any
man should boast.

Titus 3:5

5  Not by works of righteousness
which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the
washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Romans 3:28

28  Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

  • On this point, the Catholic doctrine and scripture disagree.
    Indeed their teachings are mutually exclusive. Which will you choose?
